Project Overview

This project involved the complete design and construction of a substantial detached double garage, managed by our team from the initial groundwork to the final electrical fit-out. The objective was to create a high-quality, secure, and spacious building that perfectly complements the main property while providing ample room for vehicles and storage.

Before: The project began on an empty plot of land at the client’s property. There was no existing structure, offering a complete blank canvas. Our first task was to prepare the ground, excavate, and lay the foundations, setting the stage for the entire build.

After: The finished result is a superb, high-spec double garage that is both incredibly functional and visually impressive. The quality of the brickwork, the sharp lines of the roof, and the modern lighting create a premium outbuilding that adds significant utility and value to the property.

The Process

Foundations & Base
- After excavating the site, a reinforced concrete slab foundation was poured to create a solid, level base capable of supporting the structure.
Brick & Block Work
- The main walls of the garage were constructed using high-quality bricks, with our skilled bricklayers meticulously building up the structure, including the two large openings for the garage doors.
Roof Construction
- A traditional cut and pitch timber roof was constructed on-site. This involved building the main roof trusses and creating the gable ends, ensuring a strong and perfectly formed structure.
Tiling & Finishing
- The roof was then felted, battened, and tiled with modern, dark grey tiles that match the local aesthetic. New fascias, soffits, and guttering were also installed.
Installation of Doors & Windows
- High-security garage doors and windows were fitted into the prepared openings.
Electrical Fit-Out & Finishing Touches
- The project was completed with the installation of stylish up-and-down external lighting, providing both security and a premium finish.
